# LogoAPI

> Free company logos by domain. One URL returns an SVG. No signup, no key, no cookies. A free alternative to the Clearbit Logo API.

LogoAPI serves 3,000+ brand logos as static SVG files from https://logoapi.sh. Fair use is free. Heavy usage may need a paid plan later, with notice on the site first.

## Terms

- Fair use: Embed our logos and use our search API in your site or app, free. Don't bulk-copy the catalog to run a competing service. We may limit traffic that does.

## API

- GET https://logoapi.sh/{domain}.svg : wordmark logo. Falls back to the icon when a company has no wordmark. Unknown domains return 404 (no placeholder).
- GET https://logoapi.sh/icon/{domain}.svg : square mark for avatars, lists and favicons.
- GET https://logoapi.sh/favicon/{domain} : favicon (SVG, also /favicon/{domain}.svg) for a site, from the catalog icon; unknown domains return 404 JSON, no placeholder. PNG is coming.
- GET https://logoapi.sh/{domain} : bare domain, same as /{domain}.svg (Clearbit-style).
- GET https://logoapi.sh/search?q={text} : match a brand name or domain, up to 8 results as JSON {domain, name, logo, icon, score, origin, source}. Typos are tolerated (1 edit for 4 to 6 characters, 2 for 7 or more); those hits rank below exact and prefix matches and carry "fuzzy": true. q is 2 to 80 characters.
- GET https://logoapi.sh/search?tag={tag} : optional filter by exactly one tag (a comma list returns 400); q becomes optional, returns the first 48 results, no total, each result has tags. A tag plus q gives up to 8 results. A q needs at least 2 letters or digits. /search is limited to 120 requests per minute per IP (429 with Retry-After; the JSON body has error, message and retry_after_seconds). Allowed: tech, devtools, finance, retail, media, organizations, health, industry, israel.

Responses send Access-Control-Allow-Origin: * and are cached at the edge for a day. There is no OpenAPI file; the routes above are the full API.

## Limits

Free, no key. Limits: 150 requests per 10 seconds per IP across logoapi.sh, 120 searches per minute per IP, and 500 searches per IP per day (50 from cloud and hosting networks; resets at 00:00 UTC). Tag search returns the first 48 results (a tag plus q gives up to 8). Over the limit you get a 429 JSON with message and retry_after_seconds. Need more (aggregators, bulk, heavy apps)?
