Request
/crypto/{SYMBOL}.svgUse .svg or .png, or no extension. XRP and USDC have SVG marks only, so their .png answers 404. /crypto/BTC.svg.txt returns the same SVG as plain text, for chat canvases that block images.
/dark/crypto/{SYMBOL}.svgThe mark for dark backgrounds. SVG only. XMR has a PNG mark only, so its dark form answers a raster_only 404.
/ticker/{SYMBOL}.svgA coin symbol on the ticker route answers the same coin mark, so one ticker column can hold stocks and coins. A symbol that is also a listed company (BCH, TRX, NEAR) stays the company there; use /crypto/ for the coin.
Crypto ETFs and trusts
Funds that hold coins trade as stock tickers. Use the ticker route: /ticker/IBIT.svg is the iShares Bitcoin Trust, /ticker/GBTC.svg and /ticker/ETHE.svg are the Grayscale trusts. See logo by stock ticker.
Errors
| Status | When |
|---|---|
200 | A listed coin: its mark. |
404 | A symbol we do not list, or not a symbol at all. Plain not found on every form, like /. No placeholder image. |
Free tier and limits
2M requests a month per site. Free. No key. No signup. No attribution.
Today, /ticker/, /icon/ticker/ and /crypto/ URLs, /dark/ forms included, have no per-IP rate limit at our edge. The short form (/AAPL.svg) and domain URLs keep the fair-use limits. Fair use and abuse blocking apply.
FAQ
Which crypto logos are supported?
17 coins: BTC, ETH, USDT, XRP, BNB, SOL, USDC, DOGE, TRX, ADA, HYPE, LINK, XLM, BCH, XMR, ZEC, NEAR. The coin list in our public GitHub repo is always current.
What happens with an unknown coin symbol?
A plain 404 (not found) on every form, like an unknown ticker. There is no placeholder image, so your app can show its own.
Is /ticker/BTC the same as /crypto/BTC?
Yes, when the symbol is not also a listed company. BCH, TRX and NEAR are companies on /ticker/; /crypto/ always means the coin.
