Company logos in Lovable
Paste one line into Lovable and every company in your app shows its real logo, by website, stock ticker or crypto symbol. Free. No key. No signup.
Lovable writes a React app from your words. Tell it once where logos come from and every list, card and table in your app shows real company logos. Tried in Lovable on 2026-11-04: with the line saved, Lovable put the logo URL in an img tag and asked for no key. Without it, Lovable reached for a logo connector or Google favicons. Paste this into Lovable
Where it goes: Project settings, then Instructions.
Use https://logoapi.sh for company logos. Put the URL straight in the img src: https://logoapi.sh/{domain}.svg for a company (for example https://logoapi.sh/stripe.com.svg), https://logoapi.sh/ticker/{SYMBOL}.svg for a stock or ETF, https://logoapi.sh/crypto/{SYMBOL}.svg for a coin. In a square cell use https://logoapi.sh/icon/{domain}.svg. No API key, no signup, no env variable. Do not add a logo connector and do not use Google favicons.Three steps
- Save the line
Open Project settings, then Instructions. Paste the line and save.
What you see: Lovable keeps it for every prompt in this project.
- Ask for logos
Type what you want, for example: Add the company logo next to each name in the list.
What you see: Lovable writes an img tag with a logoapi.sh URL. No key, no connector, no setup screen.
- Check the preview
Open the preview.
What you see: Each row shows the company logo. A company with no logo in our catalog shows its favicon or a tile with its name, never a broken image.
What you see
A list in your app, with logos from the URLs in the line. This one loads live from the API.
Stripestripe.com
Notionnotion.so
AppleAAPL
MicrosoftMSFT
BitcoinBTC
Live from the API: two domains, two tickers, one coin.
If the preview shows no logos
The Lovable preview shows outside images, so the plain URL works there. The .svg.txt trick below is only for a chat or canvas that blocks them.
Some chat windows and canvases block outside images. Add .txt to the URL and the logo comes back as SVG text, which the AI can put straight into the page: https://logoapi.sh/stripe.com.svg.txt. It works on /ticker/ and /crypto/ too.
FAQ
Do I need an API key in Lovable?
No. No key and no signup. 2M requests a month per site. Free.
Logos look cut off in square cells. What do I do?
Use the square icon: https://logoapi.sh/icon/{domain}.svg. Stock tickers are square already on /ticker/. Add ?variant=full to a ticker URL for the wide logo.
How do I show logos on a dark background?
Add /dark/ in front: https://logoapi.sh/dark/stripe.com.svg, https://logoapi.sh/dark/ticker/AAPL.svg or https://logoapi.sh/dark/crypto/BTC.svg. You get a version made for dark backgrounds.
What if a company has no logo?
The URL still returns an image: the company favicon, or a tile with its name. The X-Logo-Fallback header tells you which. Add ?fallback=404 to show your own placeholder instead. About 6,500 stock tickers work. 1,647 have a logo in our catalog (1,455 vector); add ?variant=full to get it. The default square icon comes from our catalog for 402 tickers; the rest get the company favicon, or a tile with the name.
Why did Lovable pick another logo service?
With no instruction, Lovable goes by memory: a logo connector that needs a key, or Google favicons, which are small site icons rather than logos. Saving the line in Instructions settles it for the whole project.
